On April 29, 2025, at Van Hien
University – HungHau Campus (Ho Chi Minh City), the final round of the
Technology Innovation Contest in 2025 with the theme "Youth and the
aspiration to create technology" took place in a vibrant, exciting and
professional atmosphere, closing an inspiring journey for students who love
research and application of science and technology.

passion for science and technology
The contest is one of the
outstanding activities of the Competition Unit 22 in the academic year
2024-2025, including the following universities: Van Hien University, Saigon
International University, Saigon University, Ho Chi Minh City University of
Economics and Finance, Hung Vuong University Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Dinh
University, Hong Bang International University and Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy.
At the same time, the event also aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Country's
reunification, the 28th anniversary of the establishment of Van Hien University
and respond to Resolution 57-NQ/TW on scientific and technological development,
innovation and national digital transformation.

a research topic at the final round of the Technological Innovation Contest in
2025
With the goal of encouraging
creativity and finding new solutions in key technological fields, the contest
has attracted 46 topics from students of participating university. Through the
preliminary round (April 8, 2025), 24 topics were selected for the semi-final
round, then, the 13 best topics entered the final round, competing at the
important event on April 29, 2025.
The theme of the contest orients
contestants to focus on developing ideas in urgent and potential fields such as
artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductor microchips and electronics and
telecommunications engineering, biotechnology, medicine, biomedicine,
agricultural technology, educational technology and sustainable development
solutions.

training and scientific research
A special feature of the contest
is the active companionship from a team of expert advisors, helping students
complete the research topic not only at the idea level but also close to the
actual implementation. The scoring criteria, including scientificity,
creativity and innovation, applicability and development potential, have
ensured the selection of really outstanding topics.

Through the competition, students
have the opportunity to rub shoulders, develop independent research skills,
think critically, solve practical problems, and at the same time create a
premise for topics to continue to develop in an in-depth research environment
or science and technology startup. In addition, lecturers from schools in the
Block also have more opportunities to connect, discover and foster young
talents, contributing to improving training efficiency in the direction of
applied research and technology transfer.

The final of the Technological
Innovation Contest in 2025 has really ignited a passion for creativity in the
young generation, affirming the leading role of students in the cause of
national science and technology innovation. The success of the contest is a
vivid testament to the spirit of "Youth innovates for the future",
contributing to spreading the value of knowledge, the desire for dedication and
the spirit of sustainable development in the Vietnamese academic community.

1. The Special Prize:
- Application of Artificial Intelligence in the research and development of
voice and intelligent interactive computer control systems to support people
with disabilities in the use of technology - AccesssiCore AI - Van Hien
University.
2. The First Prize:
- BioAquaHerb: Bioherbal solution to replace antibiotics in sustainable
aquarium fish farming - Van Hien University.
3. The Second Prize:
- Application of wireless control technology for 24-second electronic clock
system in basketball - Van Hien University - Evaluation of the impact of the
extraction method on the performance and properties of pectin recovered from
purple passion fruit peel (Passiflora edulis Sims.) and application orientation
in low-fat sausages - Van Hien University.
4. The Third prize:
- Developing an AI application to support story summaries and readings for
primary school students - Hong Bang International University - MTTG - Learning
thinking stimulation system and smart sitting posture adjustment support for
the visually impaired - Saigon International University - Integrating AR and
Edpuzzle in teaching distance topics in grade 11 - School Saigon University.

- Research on the Effectiveness of Arsenic
