Building on the success of its mental health initiatives, Van Hien University continues to foster student well-being through a specialized session titled “Comprehensive Health Care” which places a strong emphasis on physical health, evidence - based lifestyle choices, and appropriate physical activity - key factors in helping VHU students sustain holistic and wellness. This session was not only merely an educational but also a compelling demonstration of VHU’s deep commitment to supporting students on their journey toward personal development.

Dr. Nguyen Phi Hung, Level II Specialist and Head of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Van Hien University

The session aimed to provide students with useful and easy-to-understand knowledge about health care, while also helping them see the importance of staying healthy during stressful study periods. Building on the success of earlier mental wellness programs, this session focused on physical health, healthy daily habits, and simple exercise routines - important steps to help students stay well in the long run.

The program was truly helpful for students. Dr. Nguyen Phi Hung, Level II Specialist and Head of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Van Hien University who pointed out some worrying health habits among students, such as lack of exercise and stress from studying too much. Dr. Nguyen Phi Hung gave useful advice on how to build a healthier, more balanced daily routine. His session was not only informative but also fun and interactive, with small prizes that made students even more excited to join.

Adding further depth to the session, MSc. Pham Anh Tung – CEO of Ci Yoga Therapy (Vietnam’s first yoga therapy school accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists) – addressed common musculoskeletal issues resulting from poor posture and a lack of physical activity. Lecturer Tung not only guided students in identifying seemingly minor yet consequential misconceptions related to personal health, but also equipped them with essential on-site self-care techniques. He introduced a series of simple yet effective exercises specifically designed to be performed at one’s desk, thereby promoting practical and accessible strategies for maintaining well-being within academic environments.

The program significantly enhanced students’ understanding of health care while underscoring the critical role of scientific principles in everyday life. Van Hien University affirms that the knowledge and competencies acquired through this session will enable students to cultivate and sustain a healthy, balanced, and positive lifestyle - contributing, not only to their academic success but also to their overall well-being. Moreover, the event held particular significance as it commemorated the 28th anniversary of Van Hien University (1997–2025), serving to promote the enduring values of “healthy living – positive living – responsible living” within both the VHU community and the broader society.
