On May 30, 2025, Van Hien University, in collaboration with the Center for Education Quality Assessment – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, conducted an official survey as part of its second-cycle quality assessment process.

Participating in the official survey program serving the external evaluation of Van Hien University were the following members of the External Evaluation Team: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien – Director of the Center for Education Quality Assessment, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan – Head of the External Evaluation Team, Dr. Hoang Thi Xuan Hoa – Secretary, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Nguyen – Member, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Loc – Member, Prof. Dr. Pham Thanh Huy – Member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien – Member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh – Member, MSc. Vu Thi Mai Anh – Deputy Head of the Department of Assessment and Accreditation of Education Quality, serving as the team’s Supervisor.

Representing Van Hien University were Mr. Tran Thanh Huong - Permanent Vice President of the University Council, Ms. Pham Thi Minh Nguyet - Vice President of the University Council, Executive Vice President, Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Thao - Member of the University Council, Permanent Executive Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huy Hoang - Permanent Vice President, along with Teachers the Executive Board, Heads/Deputies of Faculties/Departments/Centers/Institutes, Members of the Self-Assessment Council and the Secretariat of the Self-Assessment Council.

At the opening ceremony, Ms. Vũ Thị Mai Anh, M.A. – Deputy Head of the Department of Educational Assessment and Accreditation under the Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University, Hanoi – announced the Decision on the establishment of the External Evaluation Team for Van Hien University.

On behalf of the University’s Executive Board, Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Tuyet – Chief Executive Officer of Văn Hiến University – delivered a welcome speech to the external evaluation delegation during their official survey visit. She provided an overview of the University’s establishment and development, highlighting the institution’s continuous efforts to build a humane, creative, and globally integrated educational environment. In particular, Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Tuyet shared the University’s outstanding achievements in training, scientific research, and international cooperation – key pillars that reflect Van Hien University’s strategic direction toward sustainable and high-quality development in higher education.

In the opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien – Director of the Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University, Hanoi – acknowledged and highly appreciated the University's professional, well-organized, and timely preparations in completing the self-assessment report and effectively coordinating the organization of this external evaluation.

In the context of Government Resolution No. 68, which has been creating fresh momentum to strongly promote the development of the private economic sector, the model of higher education in Vietnam - particularly among non-public institutions - is undergoing a significant transformation. Van Hien University stands as a vivid example of this spirit of innovation, autonomy and creativity.
In the spirit of cooperation, objectivity and construction, we affirm that the External Assessment Team will carry out the assessment task in accordance with the process, and at the same time have more opportunities to advise, suggest and accompany the School in developing a comprehensive educational strategy.
With a spirit of cooperation, objectivity and constructive engagement, we affirm that the external evaluation team will carry out the accreditation process in strict accordance with established procedures, while also providing valuable opportunities to offer guidance, insights, and continued support to the University in developing a comprehensive educational strategy.
In particular, we hold high expectations for the development of multidisciplinary and cross-sector training programs - an inevitable trend in modern higher education—in order to better meet the increasingly diverse demands of the labor market and society," emphasized Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien.
Following the external review team’s recognition of the positive aspects of the accreditation process, Ms. Pham Thi Minh Nguyet – Vice Chair of the University Council and Executive Vice President – extended her sincere thanks on behalf of Van Hien University to the external evaluation team for their time and dedication during this official site visit. Ms. Pham Thi Minh Nguyet emphasized that Van Hien University deeply values this process as a valuable opportunity to objectively reflect on the quality of its education, thereby continuing to improve and grow. She also reaffirmed the University's commitment to providing the most favorable conditions and full support to ensure that the evaluation team can successfully fulfill its mission, contributing to the overall success of the quality accreditation process.

The official site visit for the second-cycle external quality assessment of Van Hien University is being conducted from May 30 to June 3, 2025.
