The 5th Congress of the Party Committee of Van Hien University for the 2025–2030 term was solemnly convened on June 22, 2025. This pivotal political event brought together 80 distinguished delegates representing affiliated Party cells, along with leaders from the The Party Committee of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, strategic partners, and The University Executive Board.
The Congress served both as a comprehensive review of the implementation of the 2020–2025 Resolution and as a milestone in charting strategic directions for the new term. Guided by a spirit of democracy, solidarity, and responsibility, the Congress adopted key resolutions and outlined a strategic framework to strengthen the Party organization in the University’s next phase of development - one that is closely aligned with the current realities and future demands of higher education.

In his opening remarks, Comrade Tran Minh Hau, Secretary of the Party Committee and representative of the Presidium, emphasized: “The 5th Congress is an opportunity for all Party members to reflect on past achievements, candidly identify shortcomings, and draw meaningful lessons. Through this process, we enhance the Party’s leadership capacity and guiding role - laying the foundation for Van Hien University to become a reputable and high - quality institution in this era of transformation.”
According to the official report presented at the Congress, during the 2020 – 2025 term, the Party Committee made notable strides in consolidating political structures, nurturing a contingent of staff and lecturers with strong political integrity and high professional competence, and advancing specialized academic and research activities. Significant progress was also made in digital transformation and modern university governance. The Congress recognized encouraging developments in aligning academic training with societal needs and international integration.
Looking ahead to the 2025 – 2030 term, the Congress set forth a central objective: to further enhance the quality of education and scientific research, while continuing to build a clean, strong, and resilient Party organization. A comprehensive approach to educational reform was affirmed, positioning the University to develop into a dynamic, multidisciplinary academic ecosystem. Specific goals and detailed action plans were discussed and approved, reflecting the collective will and strong political commitment of the Party membership.
In accordance with Party regulations, the Congress conducted elections and elected nine members to the new Party Executive Committee. These individuals are recognized for their political integrity, professional excellence, and leadership potential. They are entrusted with advancing the Party’s mission and guiding the University toward sustainable and innovative development in the context of comprehensive educational reform.

Alongside its political agenda, the Congress also reaffirmed its commitment to community engagement through a meaningful social initiative. A “Great Solidarity House” valued at VND 60 million was donated to Phong Phu Commune, Binh Chanh District - symbolizing the Party Committee’s dedication to humanitarian values, social responsibility, and community solidarity.
The 5th Congress of the Party Committee of Van Hien University concluded successfully, opening a new chapter of determination, innovation, and cohesion—fostering strong momentum to achieve the goals set for the term ahead. With unity and vision, the Party Committee is well-positioned to guide Van Hien University toward comprehensive development and robust international integration.
