In the context that the world is promoting the innovation of medical training content and methods, the integration of technology into medical education has become an urgent requirement to improve the quality of training and public health care. Fully aware of this importance, on June 10, 2025, Van Hien University organized a national scientific conference with the theme "Technology in medical education – Achievements and applicability".

The workshop attracted a large number of leading experts, researchers from educational institutions across the country and students of Van Hien University
The event is one of the key activities towards the 28th anniversary of the establishment of Van Hien University, shows the determination to accompany the Government's Resolution 57 on the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

The Conference attracted nearly 200 delegates, scholars and experts from medical training institutions and the health sector nationwide: Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Science and Technology – VNU Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking. Ho Chi Minh City, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry. Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Hong Bang International University, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Dai Nam University, Tay Ninh Pedagogical College, Cho Ray Hospital, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Hospital of District 8, Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control, lecturers and students of Van Hien University. The The confernce received 60 submissions, reflecting the depth of knowledge as well as diversity in the integration of technology into education, training and clinical practice.

The Conference focuses on new technology trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR/VR), online learning, and health science teaching methods based on digital technology and high technology.
Some of the prominent topics was selected to present at the Workshop include:
1. Application of digital technology in nursing education – MSc. Nguyen Bich Luu (Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Nursing Association).
2. Virtual reality in anatomy teaching – Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung (specialist level 2 doctor, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Van Hien University).
3. AI-based adaptive learning in medical training: Bridging the gap between theory and practice – Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology – Van Hien University).
4. Application of technology in nursing training and care practice: Achievements and development strategies – Dr. Tran Quang Huy (Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Nursing Association).
5. Update technological advances in cancer treatment: Sulforaphane inhibits ICAM-1 expression and mononuclear cell adhesion on T24 bladder cancer cells – Dr. Pham Ngoc Khoi (Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine).
The scientific quality and practical significance of the presented topics have contributed to affirming the pioneering role of Van Hien University in promoting the digital transformation of health education, improving the capacity of medical personnel in the period of international integration.
